Washington Same-Sex Wedding

Richard & Steve

Washington / U.S.

I love that Steve calls their Washington DC home the Welsh Embassy. When I arrived at Richard and Steve’s home before shooting their pre-wedding session I was greeted by a huge red dragon hanging proudly over the front door.

Richard is a Brit and has been living in the US for over 20 years. He met his partner Steve 15 years ago and they finally settled in a beautiful part of Washington DC.

With their wedding less than 24 hours away we decided to do a quick photo session to get to know each other. We ended the session by abandoning the car and running across a 4-lane in downtown DC to get to the lake just as the sun was setting, DC traffic is a nightmare! The light was just amazing, if we were to have this light for the wedding then that would be unreal…. and guess what, we did 🙂

Below are a few fav frames from the session.
