This was a smorgasbord kind of a wedding at Clare College Cambridge.
Mette is from Sweden, Charles is from Canada, they met in Cambridge and decided this was the best place to get married. With elements of both cultures in their Clare College wedding, it is was wonderful to be apart of it as a Cambridge Wedding Photographer. From a ‘first look’ rarely used over here in the UK, but something of a tradition in Canada and 10 speeches during the wedding breakfast brought over from Scandinavia this was going to keep me on my toes.
Mette was super organised and everything went as planned without a glitch. Charles is Canadian so he was really laid back, it just made for a really fun, uplifting day full of love and smiles.
The whole day was at Clare College, it made my day so easy as a Clare College Wedding Photographer. It only difficult part was that it was ridiculously hot and the threat of thunderstorms was promised, but they never showed and we had a fabulous day.
I love being a Cambridge wedding photographer, especially at Clare College, its history and incredible architecture make for so many photo opportunities.
If you are planning your Clare College Wedding, I would love to hear from you as an experienced Clare College wedding photographer, please do get in touch.
I was helped on the day by a good friend and talented photographer, Ross Holkham. Below are a few favourites from the day.
