The Natural History Museum is one of London’s most iconic venues which offers a unique and romantic backdrop for your wedding photography. Whether you are planning a large or intimate wedding the museum has something to suit all wedding types. They offer a number of different spaces – The Hintze Hall, the North Hall, Fossil Way, Earth Hall and the Darwin Centre courtyard.

Rosie and KT had their wedding reception in the museums largest venue, the breathtaking Hintze Hall and a drinks reception in Fossil Way. The bride and groom made a spectacular entrance down the large stone staircase which leads into the Hintze Hall. The top table was at the bottom of the staircase so during the speeches the speaker was elevated by standing on the lower steps of the staircase which is a lovely touch.

There is something magical about a wedding reception in a museum, there is no shortage of inspiration to capture amazing wedding photography. Rosie and KT’s wedding cake was on display underneath Dippy the dinosaur, I can’t think of a more unique or wonderful centerpiece!

As the Museum is a large venue with challenging light, I recommend you choose an experienced Natural History Museum photographer. It is definitely advantageous to choose a wedding photographer that has already photographed a wedding at the Natural History Museum that has expert knowledge and first-hand experience of lighting large, luxury weddings.
