Bahia Prinicipe island resort has it all for the perfect wedding
Janice & James’s choose the Gran Bahia Principe Resort in Sumana for their wedding, and it’s easy to see why. Let me list what is amazing about this place:
- A beautiful shaded terrace for a wedding
- west facing beach for epic sunset portraits
- Mediterranean restaurant serving amazing food and transforms into a brilliant space for crazy dancing
- another private beach with bar for lantern launching and some cool cigar smoking photos
- and a vast swimming pool for a trash the dress shoot the day after the wedding
This post is part 2 of their wedding. If you missed part 1 why not check it out to get all the build up before the ceremony. This part 2 series starts off just as Janice met James on the terrace. About to start their vows and start a magical journey together. Below are a few photos from the 1000+ that will be delivered. Congratulations to you both 🙂
Sunset beach wedding portraits
Once the ceremony was done, hugs and high 5’s all dished out Janice and James were whisked off to the beach so we could get some portraits.
Mediterranean restaurant
Next to the pool and literally a stone throw from the beach was the delightful Mediterranean restaurant. Night family portraits, excellent food, speeches, and some crazy dancing all under one roof.
Bacardi beach
Dancing done we all headed to the other side of the island for more merriment. Rum and cigars was the order and these guys knew how to get some smoke clouds going. After everyone had recovered from an epic cigar puffing session Janice and James launched 20 lanterns from the beach. With a pretty stiff off shore wind it was difficult to get them going. But those that did make it into the air may have made it to Spain, they went like rockets!
Trash the dress swimming pool style
I can’t believe these guys were up for this, but hats off to them for their spirit and character. It’s one way to get rid of the hangover!
Good on you Janice and James, top people 🙂
An amazing wedding. Thank you so much Janice and James for trusting your wedding coverage to me. You are one crazy couple and I truly enjoyed every moment with you, your friends and family. I was made so welcome and it was a pleasure to share this experience with you. We may all meet again in 2015 in Mexico, lets make that happen 🙂 x

Whoa Jon, I am in n o way a photographer, but I’m sure as he’ll very envious of your art!! These pics are probably the best I’ve ever seen……….what a heirloom to pass on down to the children and grandchildren and so on!!! I love the water pics, and well, I could go on and on with favourites…….I just love them all. I’ve had my marriage blessed, so I don’t think there’s anymore I can do, but your talent has made me want to get married again!!!! If I am ever in a position for a professional photographer and I’m ‘in your area’ I will give you a shout!! Mr, Mrs Clare should be over the moon with these pics, but I don’t think well need to ask, the photos say it all, well done sir, you are an extremely talented artist!!
