“We came to you with a tough spec – to capture the atmosphere of wedding of a pair of perfectionists in an evening candlelit wedding (the dark!). The photos you took are incredible”
What a way to finish 2015 and see in 2016. Miranda & Mark created the perfect end of year celebration, it was incredible.
The venue was Eastnor Castle, it’s actually 19th century mock castle, it had me fooled. But with all its character it made for a completely unique place to shoot. And it was dark, so dark, a real challenge, and I love that kind of thing!
Miranda cracked me up the whole day, most things were left last minute, she booked the videographers 24 hours before the wedding! But you would never have guessed, the attention to detail was amazing. With their 5 kids it was a beautiful day full of love, laughter, fireworks and shots of tequila.
Thanks so much Miranda and Mark for trusting us to capture your wedding day. Thanks also to Dan Bold for second shooting again, top man. And lastly thanks to Adam & Rachel of Adam Galwas Productions for being so easy to work alongside.
Below are a few favourites from Dan and myself. Wishing you all a happy 2016 🙂

Awesome work as always Jon, it was such a pleasure to work alongside you and Dan. Your ability for capturing the perfect moments with such creative compositions never ceases to amaze me!
Thanks Adam – was great working with you and Rachel too. Looking forward to seeing your production of their wedding.
Jon,
Great images. I bet that tested the ISO capabilities! Amazing use of low light. Respect to you.
All the best
Matt
Hey Matt – thanks for the comment – the ISO was certainly tested, most of the day at ISO 6400 at wide open apertures. Church was ISO 12800 F2 @ 1/60 !! Thankful I was shooting Nikon 🙂
Yeah, that Church is super dark, even in daytime, let alone when it’s night & candle lit! f2…..something Canon shooter’s don’t get to use, unless they like OOF images!! 🙁
I know, one of the main reasons I went to Nikon is for the incredible high ISO performance. Canon still not released anything about the 5D4, sad really as the 5D3 was an awesome camera but suffered from high ISO shadow banding.
Stunning work! Love the atmosphere, lighting and emotions beautifully captured!
Thank you Clive
We love them! Thank you so so much 🙂
tanks Miranda and Mark – so glad you love them. You guys and your family were so easy and wonderful to capture. Thanks for making it so easy for us 🙂
great set of photos mate, love the way how you work with light
Thanks Voyteck – appreciate the kind words 🙂
Lovely set, considering you were up against it with the light! Top work 🙂
Thanks Matt – yes it was a challenge, but got to embrace it 🙂
